Movement Studio Policy Notification
Cancellation Policy
We respectfully ask that you provide us with a 12 hour notice of any cancellation or reschedule, otherwise you will be charged 100% of the service fee.
Please understand that when you cancel last minute or miss your appointment/class without providing enough notice, we are often unable to fill the space. This is an inconvenience to our therapist/instructors and also means our other clients miss the chance to receive services they need.
We will do our best to give advance notice if we are closing or need to cancel and we ask you to do the same.
Late Arrival Policy
We request that you arrive at least 5 min prior to your appointment time to answer any intake questions your therapist may have. We understand that issues can arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. However, we ask that you call to inform your therapist or the clinic, so we can do our best to accomodate you. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so often times we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time will result in loss of time from your massage so that the session ends at the scheduled time. Full Service Fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival.
Inappropriate Behaviour Policy
Massage Therapy is for relaxation and therapeutic/ remedial purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, sexual gesture or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session. Depending on the behaviour exhibited we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary.
Transfer Policy
If for whatever reason you will be unable to attend the booked session and can't cancel or reschedule, you are welcome to contact your therapist or clinic and request a transfer of your scheduled session to a friend or other client whom is available for your scheduled time. This is only possible with prior communication to the therapist and by agreement of the therapist. Be aware that the therapist is able to decline this request, if for example the client or friend has medical issues which prohibits massage therapy.
Privacy Policy
Movement Studio is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification, disclosure, alteration, or destruction we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. However, you should keep in mind that the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure or error-free. We may collect the following information:
Name
Contact information including e-mail address
Date of birth
Emergency contact person
Credit card details
Payment history
Demographic information such as postcode
Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
Sensitive information

All prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD) and all transactions are processed in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD). Prices, products and offers exclude GST.

All prices are correct at the time of online publication. Prices are subject to change with given notice.

Sale items are only available at the lower price during the sale period.

Unforeseen supply problems or unexpected demand may occasionally result in appointment/classes being unavailable.

We reserve the right to amend prices and printing errors.

Prices may increase from time to time to reflect increases in cost and benefits.

All purchases are final. Movement Studio does not offer refunds, transfers, suspensions or extensions on services or products for change of mind, change of address or any other reason. We will consider extensions on class packs upon sudden injury, illness with a medical certificate and pandemic-related lockdowns.

All passes are non-transferable between clients.

Movement Studio reserves the right to bill the client the cost of any additional bank fees which may incur from disputed or failed transactions regarding a clients account.

All online payments are processed through Stripe, which is a third party online payment system. In person payments are processed via eftpos. Movement Studio has nothing to do with any additional fees that may be charged as a result to clients having insufficient funds during payments.

Refunds will not be given unless goods/services are not provided and an extension on validity of Passes is not an option.
Reformer Pilates Class Pass Policy

Classes must be used within 3 months (5 class pass) and 6 months (10 class pass).

Please check there is class times that suit before purchase of a pass.
Marketing
I understand my email may be used for marketing purposes for the studio to advertise any updates/news they have.
General Liability Release Form
You agree to the following (Massage Therapy):

I give my permission to receive professional massage therapy

I understand that Remedial Massage is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment or medications.

I understand that the massage therapist does NOT diagnose illnesses or injuries or prescribe medications.

I understand the risks associated with massage therapy include, but are not limited to:
▪ superficial bruising
▪ short-term muscle soreness
▪ exacerbation of undiscovered injury
I therefore release the company and the individual therapist from all liability concerning these injuries that may occur during the massage session. -
I understand the importance of informing my therapist of all medical conditions and medications I am taking, and to let the therapist know about any changes to these.

I understand it is my responsibility to inform my therapist of any discomfort I may feel during the massage session so he/she may adjust accordingly.

I understand that I or the therapist may terminate the session at any time.

I understand and agree to the 12 hour cancelation policy for massage therapy.

I have been given the chance to ask questions about the massage therapy session and my questions have been answered.
You agree to the following (Reformer Pilates):

I agree that I am healthy and have been given GP approval if necessary before booking a Reformer Pilates Session.

I understand that Reformer Pilates is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment or medications.

I understand the risks associated with reformer pilates, I therefore release Movement Studio and the individual instructors from all liability concerning these injuries that may occur during the reformer pilates session.

I understand it is my responsibility to inform the instructor of any discomfort I may feel during the reformer pilates session so the teacher may adjust exercises accordingly.

I understand that I or the instructor may terminate the session at any time.

I am aware when booking 2:1 class both spots must be filled. If only one person shows up for the session the charge of $60 will be required to paid.
